Reminder Rules: Five Efforts to Maintain the Cleanliness and Sacredness of the Temple
Implementation for Sampah sisa Upacara Agama Issue.
This Implementation emerged from Sampah Upacara wikithon.
Summary
Through fire reminder rules to maintain the cleanliness and sacredness of the temple, worshippers at the temple (Ulun Danu Batur or any other temples) are urged to uphold the temple’s cleanliness and sanctity by refraining from carrying offerings in plastic bags and ensuring any plastic used is taken home afterward. The use of plastic in offerings should be minimized to prevent pollution. After worship, items such as sampian, canang, and incense should be taken home or disposed of properly. Those seeking holy water (tirta) must bring their own containers instead of using plastic. Additionally, any food remnants from offerings consumed in the temple area must not leave litter behind. By maintaining the temple’s cleanliness, devotees fulfill their spiritual duty and respect toward Ida Batara, both physically and spiritually.
