A Balanced Approach to Tourism and Transportation
This is a Response to the Pariwisata Berkelanjutan wikithon
Bali’s charm attracts millions, yet overtourism, especially in the South has brought congestion, waste problems, and tourist behavior that disrupts its cultural essence. To restore balance, tourism must extend beyond a single region. The 3B Tourism Package (Banyuwangi, West Bali, North Bali) seeks to guide visitors toward lesser-explored areas, echoing the Padma Buana philosophy of harmonious regional development.
Lessons can be drawn from Japan, where restricted access to Gion District safeguards local traditions. Implementing similar policies in Bali could help preserve its unique identity. At the same time, the LRT (Light Rail Transit) project offers a solution to heavy traffic, promoting efficient and eco-friendly travel.
As stewards of this island, we must embrace these changes. Through mindful tourism distribution and sustainable infrastructure, Bali can continue to captivate the world, without compromising the culture, nature, and spirit that make it truly special.- Category
