BALI RETURNS ( Excellence, Harmony, and Sustainability)
This is a Response to the Pariwisata Berkelanjutan wikithon
Is Bali Sinking?
The massive wave of tourists coming to Bali has caused overtourism. According to data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) in 2024, the number of international tourists visiting Bali reached 6.3 million. Bali is like sweet sugar, fiercely competed for by many ants. Moreover, numerous issues have emerged in Bali, migrants fighting each other, foreign tourists behaving inappropriately and violating regulations. Much of Bali’s land is now owned by migrants and tourists.
Are Balinese people now happy to sell their "Mother"? In reality, land is like a mother, something sacred that must be protected and honored. Balinese people should remember and remain devoted to their land and ancestral grounds. The development of tourism in Bali should align with the Tri Hita Karana philosophy and the Tri Mandala concept, which must be upheld.
Tourism development should be evenly distributed across Bali, following the Tri Mandala principle: Utama Mandala as a place for spiritual tourism, Madya Mandala for cultural tourism, and Nista Mandala for worldly pleasures. Now is the time for Bali to return, rise, and prepare for the future.- Category
