Disorderly Tourists, Bali Trapped by Overtourism
This is a Response to the Pariwisata Berkelanjutan wikithon
Bali has become a global tourist destination, but recently social media has been filled with various cases of disorderly tourists, causing rubbish jams, traffic jams and cultural erosion. According to data from CNBC INDONESIA, many tourists do not comply with the rules, use resources excessively, and do not respect local customary norms. Bali's young generation plays an important role in educating tourists to comply with culture-based tourism regulations. Through social media, digital education and social programs, tourist awareness can be increased. Detoxifying overtourism in Bali can be done by decentralizing tourism, enforcing stricter regulations on tourist behavior, as well as digital innovation to limit the number of visitors in major destinations. The young generation of Bali must remain aware and continue to learn to preserve the noble Balinese culture!
