EASY! HERE'S HOW TO SOLVE IT
This is a Response to the Pariwisata Berkelanjutan wikithon
Bali is actually experiencing overtourism only in the southern part! Based on my interviews with tourism industry professionals, they stated, “The busiest areas in Bali are around Ubud and its surroundings,” and added, “Tourists are less interested in visiting North Bali because it’s too far from the airport.” That paints a clear picture, doesn’t it? The solution is simple: we need to develop infrastructure that improves access to North Bali. For instance, expanding transportation networks such as toll roads or high-speed rail would make it easier for tourists to reach the area. If feasible, building an airport in North Bali could also be a long-term solution. By distributing tourism more evenly, we can not only ease the burden on the south but also create new economic opportunities for communities in the north. So, let’s start this change for a more sustainable and balanced Bali!
