Negative Tourism Impacts are a Threat in Bali
This is a Response to the Pariwisata Berkelanjutan wikithon
While tourism in Bali contributes significantly to the economy, it has also brought considerable negative impacts on the environment and local culture, necessitating serious and sustainable solutions. To mitigate the adverse effects of overtourism in Bali, several strategic measures must be implemented. First, limiting the number of visitors through the application of quotas or a booking system for certain tourist destinations can help prevent environmental degradation. Second, more efficient waste management must be introduced, including improved recycling facilities and a reduction in the use of single-use plastics. Third, tourists should be intensively educated about the importance of preserving the natural environment and respecting local culture, through both awareness campaigns and on-site information at tourist destinations. Fourth, empowering local communities to take part in tourism management ensures they receive direct economic benefits without compromising their traditions and cultural heritage. Finally, strict enforcement of environmental and cultural protection laws is essential to ensure the sustainability of environmentally responsible tourism.
