Saving Bali: Solutions to Overcome Overtourism
This is a Response to the Pariwisata Berkelanjutan wikithon
If we want Bali to remain a beautiful and sustainable tourist paradise, we must act quickly to detoxify overtourism. Too many tourists not only harm the environment but also threaten local culture and community well-being. The solution? We can start by limiting the number of visitors to certain destinations through a reservation or quota system. Additionally, let’s explore other less crowded areas of Bali, such as North and West Bali, to distribute tourism more evenly. Tourists must also be educated to respect local culture and maintain environmental cleanliness. The government and businesses should shift towards eco-tourism concepts that are more environmentally friendly and support community-based tourism. If we do not take action now, Bali’s charm could be lost forever. Let’s work together to preserve Bali for future generations!
