Overtourism has become toxic in Bali when it’s uncontrolled. If tourists are restricted, most people will lose their jobs because the economy depends on the tourism sector. To deal with this, we can do several things, such as:

• Promotion of tourism in North, East, and West Bali: overtourism actually only occurs in the southern part of Bali like Kuta and Jimbaran, and part of Ubud area. Government can promote Lovina Beach in the north, Taman Ujung in the east, and West Bali National Park as beautiful as South Bali. • Improvement transportation facilities: public transportation such as Trans Metro Dewata should continue to operate, accompanied by the development of routes throughout Bali, improvement road infrastructure, and do promotion so that can reduce congestion.

• Development of locally-based tourism: ensuring tourism in Bali is managed by local residents, not foreign investors, so that the overtourism toxicity can be vitamin to increase Balinese’s economy.
