The presence of temples is increasingly tied to waste accumulation, especially due to continuous offerings made by devotees. According to observations by Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Kebersihan (DLHK), it's estimated that residents produce between 800 to 900 tons of waste, of which 70% consists of organic waste. It's time for every temple to improve the management systems by implementing Eco Enzyme and Tong Edan. Eco Enzyme is a process involving the soft waste leftovers from flowers, fruits, leaves that have been collected, chopped, and weighed in precise amounts, then soaked in a container filled with a sugar solution. After three months of fermentation, the organic material can be used to water plants or natural disinfectant safe for humans. Tong Edan refers to waste disposal shaped like a drum, that is sprayed with liquid every day. Within 1-4 weeks, it can produce liquid fertilizer that serves as a blessing for the earth.
