BALI MATANGI is a term to represent the Balinese people to be aware and increasingly care about the culture and natural environment of Bali. Hence, because of its beauty and culture; Bali as a global tourist destination makes tourists interested to come to Bali. Many tourists who come to Bali will certainly bring a positive and negative impact to Balinese living which is likely a double-edged sword. The efforts that we as a Balinese can do to overcome the negative effects of tourism are through "MATANGI". In English, matangi means “AWAKE”. MATANGI is an acronym, which stands for: M (Margiang awig-awig sané ketat: implement strict regulations), A (Adat tradition miwah budaya patut kajunjung: customs, traditions and culture must be upheld), T (Tincapang program ekowisawata miwah diversifikasi destinasi: improve ecotourism programs and diversity destinations), A (Ajak pawa wisatané uning tata krama ring Bali: introduce the Balinese manners to tourist), N (Nangun Kolaborasi sané becik, mawit saking pamerintah, krama Bali, saha pelaku pariwisata: Build a good collaboration with each other, among the government, Balinese itself, and tourism actors), G (Gamel jati diri dados jadma Bali: show identity as Balinese people), miwah I (Icén Pidanda utawi hukuman ring wisatawan sané nglanggar : provide sanctions or punishments for tourists who againts the rules and etiquette in Bali). In addition, by MATANGI program, writers do hope Balinese could care of their own identity, preserve Balinese culture, and able to adapt the outside world.

Sangat setuju sebagai generasi kita patut untuk menjaga dan melestarikan budaya, adat, tradisi serta alam bali agar tetap ajeg sebagai tulang punggung pariwisata bali, namun demikian kiranya masih perlu mendapat perhatian dalam kesempat penerimaan tenaga kerja bali sebagai featbacknya

Majeng jaman sakadi mangkin, silih tunggilnyane anak muda jaman puniki sida lek mraraga utawi ngagenahang raga dados nak Bali ring jaman puniki santukan akehnyané Transformasi Globalisasi sané mabuwat krama engsap tekén tradisi Bali. Kawéntenan sané kakocap ring ajeng, pinaka awig-awig tur pidanda punika patut pisan kalaksanayang, pinih riin sané mabuwat bikas corah mangdané ngamolihang pidanda, silih tunggilnyané blacklist ring pariwisata Bali, puniki patut wénten maka tegas majeng ring touris, mangda touris jengah, touris malali ka Bali patut nyalanang awig-awig, mangda tertata lan teratur.
