Bali is facing major problems, like a sweet honeycomb desired by many, yet peace and order in Bali are steadily declining. The economy, which is primarily driven by tourism, should bring prosperity and modernization to Bali. However, the reality is quite the opposite.

Bali is now encountering a great danger, with numerous social and legal complaints arising due to the lack of proper supervision over the increasing number of tourists. One of the key issues affecting Bali is the lack of strict oversight on nightclubs. Many visitors lose control of their minds under the influence of alcohol and even drugs.

The rising presence of drugs in Bali has led to cases where tourists have been involved in drug production, as seen in a recent viral case in Tibubeneng Village, Badung. The government must take serious measures to monitor and prevent drug circulation in Bali. One effort that should be reinstated is the government’s awareness programs, along with the enforcement of KIPEM (temporary resident identity cards), to maintain order among people coming to Bali.
