As we all know, identity politics is a political tool of a group such as ethnicity, tribe, culture, religion or others for certain purposes, for example as a form of resistance or as a tool to show the identity of a group. Identities are politicized through extreme interpretations, which aim to gain support from people who feel 'the same', whether in terms of race, ethnicity, religion or other adhesive elements.
Research shows that the cause of the formation of identity politics began with tensions between majority and minority groups which triggered diversity conflicts such as inter-ethnic, cultural, racial and inter-religious conflicts driven by political parties and the presidential threshold regime.
Identity politics is very dangerous for the life of the nation and state. Identity politics can result in threats to the integrity of the Republic of Indonesia, give rise to fighting against each other/divisions, threats to pluralism, cause polarization and fragmentation of political power and bring disputes/conflicts.
For this reason, we must overcome identity politics, especially in Bali, through political education by political parties based on Pancasila populism as well as reconstructing election law to eliminate the presidential threshold regime and establishing a political education system during election times.
Identity politics is very dangerous for the integrity of the nation and state. Therefore, we must overcome identity politics through political education by political parties based on Pancasila populism in order to create healthy politics.
Seperti yang kita ketahui bersama, Politik identitas adalah sebuah alat politik suatu kelompok seperti etnis, suku, budaya, agama atau yang lainnya untuk tujuan tertentu, misalnya sebagai bentuk perlawanan atau sebagai alat untuk menunjukan jati diri suatu kelompok tersebut. Identitas dipolitisasi melalui interpretasi secara ekstrim, yang bertujuan untuk mendapat dukungan dari orang-orang yang merasa 'sama', baik secara ras, etnisitas, agama, maupun elemen perekat lainnya.
Penelitian menunjukkan penyebab terbentuknya politik identitas bermula dengan terjadinya ketegangan antara kelompok mayoritas dan minoritas yang memicu terjadinya konflik keragaman seperti konflik antar etnis,budaya, ras dan antar agama yang ditunggangi oleh partai politik serta rezim presidential threshold.
Politik identitas sangat berbahaya bagi kehidupan bangsa dan Negara. Politik Identitas bisa mengakibatkan terancamnya keutuhan NKRI, menimbulkan adu domba/perpecahan, ancaman terhadap pluralisme, Menimbulkan Polarisasi dan Pragmentasi kekuatan politik dan membawa perselisihan/konflik.
Untuk itu, kita harus mengatasi politik identitas terkhusus di Bali dengan melalui pendidikan politik oleh partai politik yang berbasis populisme Pancasila serta rekonstruksi hukum Pemilu untuk menghapus rezim presidential threshold dan pembentukan sistem pendidikan politik di masa Pemilu.
Politik identitas sangat berbahaya bagi keutuhan bangsa dan Negara. Oleh karena itu, kita harus mengatasi politik identitas melalui pendidikan politik oleh partai politik yang berbasis populisme Pancasila agar terciptanya perpolitikan yang sehat.
