Trash Telling Stories
This is a Response to the Sampah Upacara wikithon
Bali is said to be the island of a thousand temples.
It's true that there are a thousand temples, but how come there are so many millions of rubbish?
So let's be honest, who has ever been like this? After the prayer, canang, incense and flowers are left scattered on the ground. After praying, ask for offerings and enjoy them at the temple, then the rubbish is left scattered in the temple. If not in the temple, outside the temple area, even though it also makes the temple dirty.
If all visitors and devotees act like that, won't the temple get dirtier?
Therefore, let's start from now apply the Tri Hita Karana teachings well. Always remember that maintaining the temple environment can start from ourselves. We can enjoy the snack offerings, but we have to take the trash home. Don't throw rubbish in the temple. Likewise, local residents should not sell in the middle of the temple. They can sell, but it would be better to find a suitable place outside the temple. Because the waste left over from the trade also causes our temples to become polluted.
Please note, at Besakih Temple and the Besakih Village area there are actually regulations regarding waste management and the environment. But not many people know, we should socialize it massively so that everyone understands. Likewise, at temples we must place more warnings, increase the number of volunteers and pecalang to maintain order, including environmental violations. Implement initial inspection before entering the temple area, to minimize the use of plastic waste. As well as, increasing the number of waste bins that have been separated into organic and inorganic.
Come on friends, protect our Agung Besakih temple together. So that it feels good when we sit praying before Him.- Category
