Increasingly Crowded Bali: Between Tourist Charm and Congestion, It's Time to Switch to Sustainable Transportation!
This is a Response to the Pariwisata Berkelanjutan wikithon
Traffic congestion in Bali is getting worse! Roads in tourist areas such as Kuta, Seminyak, and Canggu are packed with vehicles, increasing travel time and air pollution. If this continues, Bali may lose its appeal as a comfortable and beautiful tourist destination.
One of the main causes is foreign tourists who prefer to rent private vehicles, both cars and motorcycles, leading to a drastic increase in the number of vehicles on the road. Unfortunately, the existing road infrastructure is insufficient to accommodate this surge.
The solution? The government must urgently develop a comfortable and efficient public transportation system, such as tourist buses or light rail. Additionally, limiting the number of rental vehicles through a quota system or special tax could also help reduce congestion.
Some may argue that restricting rental vehicles would harm the tourism business. However, with a well-developed public transportation system, tourists can still enjoy Bali without being stuck in traffic.
Let’s support the development of public transportation and make wise choices when selecting vehicles for travel in Bali! By taking this step, we can keep Bali comfortable, green, and free from congestion.- Category
