Based on BPS Bali Province in 2024, 6,333,360 international tourists visited Bali, boosting the economy by 5.48% in Q4. However, this also brought challenges, such as illegal foreign tour guides and reckless foreign drivers causing accidents.

To prevent these issues, a selective e-visa system can help screen visitors before they arrive. Locally, desa adat, pecalang, and tourism businesses should monitor tourist behavior and educate them on Bali’s cultural values. Village authorities can work with immigration to conduct routine checks on visa misuse, while local governments must strictly enforce rules, including deporting violators and blacklisting repeat offenders.

In the long run, these efforts will create safer, more respectful tourism, allowing both visitors and locals to enjoy Bali without harm or exploitation. After all, Bali’s charm isn’t just in its beauty—but in the harmony between its people, culture, and nature.
