AJEG BALI: Solutions for Overtourism in Bali
This is a Response to the [[|]] wikithon
This poster explains overtourism in Bali, which negatively impacts the environment, culture, and local communities. Overtourism increases pollution, traffic congestion, degrades the tourism experience, and leads to unsustainable cultural commercialization.
The poster provides information on the increasing number of international tourists visiting Bali from 2022 to 2024 based on BPS Bali, aiming to raise awareness about the consequences of overtourism. The main causes of overtourism include uneven tourism distribution, weak regulations, and inadequate infrastructure. Its impacts include environmental degradation, economic inequality, and the decline of Balinese culture.
As a solution to overtourism, the poster introduces the A.J.E.G. concept: • A (Alokasi Wisata Merata - Even Tourism Distribution): Ensuring tourists are spread across different areas rather than concentrated in one place. • J (Jagadhita Budaya - Cultural Preservation): Protecting Balinese culture to keep it sustainable and resistant to globalization. • E (Ekowisata Berkelanjutan - Sustainable Ecotourism): Preserving the environment and preventing infrastructure damage due to tourism.
• G (Gotong Royong Krama Bali - Community Participation): Encouraging local community involvement in tourism management.- Category
