Description

As well as our normal daily work of supporting the Balinese community in their daily challenges, low income, disablities, health and hygiene, we also support the nutritional needs of kids and elderly when they are evacuated to temporary camps in and around the Amed area.

Why does the innovation or project matter?

Food drop off's allow us to check on the sanitation and hygiene status of these camps and private homes, and to monitor health, nutrition, to deliver the items required, and to also report on health, and other issues to the organisations we cooperate with. We also deliver water filters, mattresses and essential hygiene items if needed.

How do you or your team know that the innovation or project is working (or making a positive contribution)?

We collaborate with local businesses, individuals and organisations from around Bali on community developing projects that we run in and around Amed and North East Bali from the community center, and are focusing on sustainable solutions that can benefit the local community.

What has contributed to the innovation or project working?

Working closely from within the community has enabled us to be successful.

What else would help the innovation or project be more successful?

Obviously the more donations we receive, the more we are able to undertake.

Is the innovation or project self-sustaining? If not, what needs to be done for that to happen?

We are currently developing many programs which are self-sustaining. Donations to get these projects off the ground would be beneficial.

What Balinese value does this initiative invoke?
