Description

Carry out the initiation of the formation of a waste bank and assistance in the implementation of a waste bank in Bali.

Why does the innovation or project matter?

The problem of waste and clean water is a problem experienced by most regions in Indonesia. Of course, it all started with the increasing number of residents and the conversion of land functions that have not been able to stem the needs and lifestyles of humans who do not realize the importance of environmental sustainability. Until now no one has been able to completely solve the waste problem, therefore what we can do is take personal responsibility for handling the waste that we each produce. The Waste Bank is a form of solution to motivate people to take advantage of waste. The waste bank invites residents to sort waste according to its type so that it has economic value that can be saved or cashed, this initiative is a real action to change the view of waste as a producer of benefits and can also reforest the motherland. Waste Bank customers are an indicator to see the extent to which public awareness is concerned about the environment, they are the driving cadres who directly influence the people around them to manage waste together, also carry out water saving education through concrete actions in their daily routines.
