    Summary

    In English

Nawa Dewata Stuti is a series of mantras worshiping the Dewata Nawa Sangga commonly spoken by the dwijati pandita in Bali. These spells are contained in a sixteenth-century papyrus known as the Stuti Nawa Dewata. This ejection was not widely disseminated but was only passed on among the priests. In this collection of mantras, there is worship of the Gods of Nawa Sangga, the nine gods who reside in various temples in Bali and guard the direction of the wind. Hinduism in Bali in the Middle Ages strongly emphasized the worship of Tri Murti, namely Brahma as the creator, Vishnu as the preserver and Shiva as the fuser. The Tri Murti concept was later adopted into the Gods of Nawa Sanga. Because Hinduism in Bali adheres to the concept of Shiva, the Gods of Nawa Sanga in Bali are also influenced by the concept of Shiva.
